The Chimet Support Group (CSG) comprises volunteers who are almost all retired professionals. Their purpose is the establishment and support of weather-reporting websites, with free-to-the-public access.

The first Chimet website was designed and built in December 2000, by Timothy Yau-Kwan Chan, as part of an MSc in Computing and Information Systems at Greenwich University. CSG is very grateful to Tim for all his effort.
